Plaintiff Richard Lloyd filed a lawsuit against Google for collecting web browsing data from iPhone users between 2011 and 2012, despite the company’s claims that this was not possible due to Safari’s default privacy settings. Mr. Lloyd has filed a class action lawsuit representing more than four million people. If Mr. Lloyd wins, Google could lose billions in compensation to affected iPhone users. Potentially, each of them can be compensated with up to GBP750.
